The older we get, the more set in our ways we become. Once we make up our minds about something, we seldom change it. That is except for my feelings about winter in Wisconsin. The first snow fall in December is a sight to behold. The beautiful big white flakes draped on the tall pine trees are breathtaking. Shoveling my driveway is the pits! I hate Wisconsin winters! Christmas just wouldn't be the same if it wasn't white. And Wisconsin has the most gorgeous Christmas days filled with snowflakes and fresh air that will take your breath away! Oh yeah, did I mention the schools were all closed because the temperatures and wind chills were reaching 40 below? Sledding and tubing is so much fun with the kids and grandkids. They never seem to tire of making snowmen, just to watch them melt again. Oh yeah, we won't be going anywhere today because it's so cold car won't start. I hate Wisconsin winters! It seems like the kids never seem to get in enough skiing. They love the cold. Did I mention our heat bill went up this month because of the extreme cold? I hate winter in Wisconsin, yet I've lived here all my life. I wonder why…perhaps it's family.
